Okkervil River daytrotts

Okkervil River sat down -or stood up- with the indie darlings down at Daytrotter. Many bands will take this opportunity to explore some new territory and it should come as no surprise that these kids did just that: covering 3 songs by the likes of Carole King("No Easy Way Down"), John Phillips("April Anne"), and Jimmy Web("Do What You Gotta Do"). I guess they may have felt the need to really jam that Americana button. They did put down one song off their recently acclaimed The Stage Names, “You Can’t Hold the Hand of a Rock and Roll Man.”
